Central Dakota Children's Choir presents "Why We Sing"

Central Dakota Children’s Choir will present their 24th annual Spring Concerts on Friday, May 20th and Saturday, May 21st at 7:30 at the Belle Mehus Auditorium. The concert is sponsored by Starion Bank and made possible via funding from Dakota West Arts Council and ND Council on the Arts. Tickets are available on the Central Dakota Children’s Choir website at www.aboutcdcc.org, or by calling the choir office at 258-6516 and, if available, at the door the day of the event. Each of the five choirs that compose Central Dakota Children’s Choir and our special guests, the Alumni Choir will perform on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday only, Singing for 2nd Graders and Treble Makers (first graders) will also perform. Formed in 1998, CDCC has grown from one choir of 65 students to five choirs and a pre-choir. This year, there are over 250 singers in grades 1 - 12 from 50 public, private, and homeschools from the central North Dakota participating. To date, the choirs have performed for more than 130,000 people in the tri-state area and have been invited to perform at many local, state, and regional events. The choirs are directed by Teri Fay, Michael Seil, Dawn Hagerott, and Jim McMahon and accompanied by Carol Huck and Beth Weiss.
