Mandan police have identified the four people killed Monday in what police describe as a “multiple homicide.”

But police do not yet have a suspect.

One of the four people killed – 52-year-old Robert Fakler – was an owner of RJR Maintenance and Management, where the murders occurred. The other three – 42-year-old Adam Fuehrer, 50-year-old William Cobb and 45-year-old Lois Cobb – were RJR employees.

“The investigation so far leads us to believe this incident was specific to the victims," Mandan Police Chief Jason Ziegler told reporters. "We do not believe the public at large is in any danger.”

Ziegler said incidents of this kind are rare in Mandan, and in the state of North Dakota.

“It’s really kind of surreal, when you think about it," Ziegler said. "And you look at it when a community goes through something like this – it’s really something you can’t even imagine. And now comes trying to piece those questions together.”

Ziegler is asking for the public’s help – he said if people have video or have seen something they feel is suspicious, please contact Mandan police.
