13 COVID-19 cases at Fargo nursing home

A Fargo nursing home has had a cluster of positive test results for COVID-19.

Governor Doug Burgum says North Dakota is fortunate to have had minimal breakouts of the novel coronavirus in nursing facilities across the state; he says nine out of 218 facilities have reported 1 staff member or resident who tested positive. But Burgum says Eventide Senior Living Center in Fargo has reported 13 positive cases.

"Our long term rapid response team met with Eventide yesterday, and they've been actively engaged and taking action against this," Burgum said.

Burgum says this is a high priority for state officials, and work will continue on how to strengthen resources to protect longterm care facilities.
