49 new COVID-19 cases; statewide total approaching 1,000

The state health department confirms 49 additional cases of COVID-19 in North Dakota today, bringing the total statewide total of positives to 991.

41 people in Cass County tested positive. There were three positives each in Grand Forks and Stark Counties, and one each in Mountrail and Stutsman Counties.

To date, 23,723 people have been tested for the novel coronavirus. 1,289 tests were administered yesterday. There have been 79 total hospitalizations, with 25 people currently hospitalized.

409 people have made recoveries, and there have been 19 deaths. The total active confirmed case count in North Dakota stands at 563.
