ND Health Dept: 1 more death, 71 new cases of COVID-19

One more individual has passed away with COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the statewide death toll to 72.

 

The patient was a man in his 90s from Cass County. He had underlying health conditions.

 

The state health department has also confirmed 71 new cases of the novel coronavirus from a pool of 4,034 tests. The daily positive rate was 1.8 percent.

 

2,816 individuals have tested positive overall.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

  • Barnes County – 3
  • Benson County - 1
  • Burleigh County - 6
  • Cass County – 46
  • LaMoure County – 1
  • Richland County – 3
  • Sheridan County – 1
  • Stutsman County – 5
  • Walsh County – 1
  • Ward County – 2
  • Wells County - 2

 
111,537 tests have been done overall. 78,880 tests were done on unique individuals.

 

29 people are currently hospitalized. 182 have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.

 

There have been 2,268 recoveries. This leaves 476 active confirmed cases in the state.
