State confirms 85 new COVID-19 cases, 1 related death

One more resident has passed away with COVID-19.

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,539.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 85 new individuals from 18 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 111,570.

These results were from a pool of 1,896 tests for a daily positive rate of 4.6 percent.

43 of those positives were PCR tests, and 42 were antigen tests.

The cases broken down by county are:

2,109,720 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 453,344 unique individuals have been tested.

11 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 56 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 109,600. This leaves 431 active confirmed cases.
