This week, the state health department confirmed 1,222 new cases of COVID-19 statewide.
This averages out to just under 175 new cases per day. The department’s coronavirus dashboard lists North Dakota’s seven-day case rate per 100,000 people as 160.
254 new cases were confirmed in Cass County, 166 in Burleigh County and 99 in Grand Forks County.
In the last seven days, 50 new patients were admitted to area hospitals with COVID-19. As of today, 53 inpatient beds and three ICU beds are currently occupied with COVID patients.
