Writer David Bjerklie ~ "Explorasaurus ABCs"

David Bjerklie grew up in Minot, studied biology and anthropology at UND, and since 1984 has been a science writer and editor for Time, Inc. He’ll be speaking in Grand Forks tomorrow about the profound questions children ask about science. His presentation is part of the annual UND Hagerty Lecture Series, named for Jack Hagerty, longtime editor of the Grand Forks Herald. Joining us with more on this year’s events is former editor and publisher, Mike Jacobs. ~~~ When it comes to oil and gas drilling in urban and suburban areas, the question is often ‘how close is too close?’ That’s been the major point of contention in Wyoming, as Stephanie Joyce reports for Inside Energy. ~~~ In a blend of art, education and animals, Moorhead author and illustrator Avery Nubson will debut a new book this Saturday at the Red River Zoo.
