Jamie Parsley is a poet and priest. He’s also an associate poet laureate of North Dakota. He discusses his new collection of short stories with host John Harris in this excerpt of Friday’s Prairie Pulse television show. ~~~ We visit with NPR’s Ari Shapiro as he begins a new assignment as host for All Things Considered. He moves to ATC after two years as NPR’s correspondent based in London, where his reporting took him all over the world. He also spent four years as NPR’s White House Correspondent and five years as Justice Correspondent. On his days off, he often tours with the "little orchestra" Pink Martini as a guest singer. ~~~ Horticulturist Ron Smith stops by to answer some late-season yard and garden questions.
