Dr. Hilda Koster is an associate professor of religion and the co-director of the Environmental Studies Program at Concordia College. She joins us to discuss Pope Francis’s encyclical on the environment from a feminist theological perspective. She calls the Pope’s encyclical, which was published last summer, visionary and prophetic – a much-needed call to address climate change and the well-being of the planet. She’ll also comment on areas where the church still has some blind spots. ~~~ Opera and family-friendly aren't words that typically go together. The Missouri Valley Chamber Orchestra is working to change that with the kid-friendly show “Bedtime Stories.” The show features worked based on short stories and fairy tales from The Brothers Grimm and Dr. Seuss. We're joined by composer and conductor Robert Kapilow, who gained recognition for his classical radio program, “What Makes It Great?” on NPR’s “Performance Today.”
