Friday, November 15, 2019 – A common frustration among people with disabilities is that other people can't seem to see beyond the disability. An upcoming exhibition, Artist First, aims to challenge such perceptions and raise awareness about accessibility at museums. Sherry Shirek founded Arts Access for All after losing her vision to diabetes. Her husband Jesse, with low vision since birth, is an artist. They're looking for submissions from artists with disabilities. The deadline is Nov 18. ~~~ Chuck Lura shares a Natural North Dakota essay on black bears. ~~~ News director Dave Thompson is here for a discussion of the week’s headlines. ~~~ Matt Olien reviews “Doctor Sleep.”
