A Plaque for Peace: Honoring the U.S.-Canada Bond
On September 12, members of the Daughters of the American Revolution from North Dakota and Canada will gather there to dedicate an America 250 marker. The ceremony will recognize the men and women who contributed to American independence while also celebrating the long and peaceful relationship shared by the two neighboring countries. Helen Hatton of the Upper Canada DAR and Sandy Sidler, North Dakota state chair of the DAR’s America 250 Committee join Main Street.
Celebrating North Dakota’s Writers and Artists
Organizers preview the North Dakota Book and Arts Festival, a free celebration featuring regional creators, workshops and opportunities to purchase their work. The event will take place Sept. 26 in Jamestown. SamiJo Wallace, Laurel Pfau, Jill Pfaff and Aaron Cloyd join Main Street.
