The Senate has passed a bill to allow “ride share” companies to operate in North Dakota.
Companies like “Uber” have been looking at larger cities to offer the service. It wouldn’t be a cab company – instead, someone would call the company, and the company could find a driver who could offer a ride.
"There's a need for this service," said Sen. Jonathan Casper (R-Fargo). "This will help meet the demand. And it will give people a safe ride home at night. In my opinion, that's a good thing."
The bill will now be considered in the House.
