As the national Republican Party Convention approaches, it appears that no one candidate will have a majority of delegates when they get to Cleveland.
Pundits are coming up with descriptions: “brokered convention,” “divided convention.”
But one member of the Republican National Committee has his own description.
"What I call it is a convention," said North Dakota GOP National Committeeman Curly Haugland. "That's just what it is. There's nothing sinister about it, nothing provocative, nothing new."
Haugland said in previous years, Republicans have had a presumptive nominee. He said this year will likely be different.
"This one, according to Roberts Rules of Order, is just a convention of delegates," said Haugland. "The other ones were aberrations."
One Presidential candidate -- Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) -- has been telling his supporters he will win the nomination on the second or third ballot.
