MLK Holiday with Jeff Stone, Poetry and more ~ Antiques Roadshow's Marsha Bemko

Monday, January 20, 2020 – Dr. Jeffrey Stone of Bismarck State College is speaking at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck tonight as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday observance. He will comment on fulfilling the American promise and share some of his experiences navigating issues of race. He also hopes to inspire people to deepen their understanding of those different from themselves. ~~~ Appropriate for the MLK Holiday, Patrick Hicks shares an episode of Poetry from Studio 47 featuring Kwame Dawes. ~~~ A story from WNYC about a little-known advisor to Martin Luther King, Jr., Stanley Levison. ~~~ PBS favorite Antiques Roadshow will be featuring three episodes from North Dakota in its current season. Last June the crew filmed at Bonanzaville in West Fargo. Those episodes start next Monday. And following the February 10th episode, Prairie Public will air a behind-the-scenes look at how they make the show, hosted by our Ashley Thornberg. Here's an interview Ashley did with executive producer Marsha Bemko.
