Clay Routledge: "Supernatural" ~ Newman's Own Foundation

Wednesday, February 13, 2019 – Clay Routledge is a professor and psychological scientist at NDSU. His new book is titled “Supernatural: Death, Meaning and the Power of the Invisible World.” In this encore presentation that first aired last December, he discusses how humanity’s quest for transcendent meaning is on reason we’re drawn to supernatural beliefs. ~~~ Last week at a Capitol Hill news conference Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Ed Markey unveiled “the Green New Deal.” In today’s commentary from Mark Trahant, he wonders if the United States is finally ready to address climate change, and what the impact might be on Indian Country. ~~~ Newman’s Own Foundation is supporting Prairie Public by offering a matching grant for members. That will include tomorrow’s Giving Hearts Day, an opportunity to support Prairie Public and dozens of other non-profits. Joining us to discuss the foundation’s commitment to public broadcasting around the country is Faith Fennelly, Newman’s Own Foundation grants manager.
