Fargo Moorhead Symphony

Margie Bailly, who is on the F-M Symphony Board, and Katie Granger, a Symphony staffer, talk about a new initiative.

The idea is to get brand new parents a connection to classical music.  The reason is that classical music (and other music) shows up on brain scans as a stimulating and connection building neurologocal experience, especially important as brains are under construction.  The Symphony is connecting with area birth centers to provide parents of newborns with a link to their website. There, family-friendly pieces performed by some of our own musicians are ready to play. The project is a partnership between the Symphony and The Fargo Kiwanis Club.

This discussion is a project of FM Arts, a radio series of profiles, performances, and discussions with artists in the Fargo-Moorhead area funded by The Arts Partnership with support from the Cities of Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo.
