Central Dakota Children’s Choir Presents “Crescendo of Care – A Celebration of Children’s Voices” Join Central Dakota Children’s Choir in a weeklong celebration of the 210 talented young choristers whose voices form their 2021-2022 season! “Crescendo of Care—A Celebration of Children’s Voices!” is your chance to show your support for enterprising youth in our community. The celebration includes an online silent auction, cash raffle, senior recognition dinner, singer stories and much more. The weeklong event concludes on Sunday, November 21st with choir performances at Kirkwood Mall from 1:00pm-3:30pm. Central Dakota Children’s Choir is celebrating their 24th Anniversary this year. “More than 2400 children have participated in our program since we began in 1998,” says Tammy Rector, executive director and past choir parent. “We’re honoring that milestone by focusing on the many benefits of choral education. Each of our singers has a unique musical journey and it’s truly inspiring to hear how choir has impacted their lives. We wouldn’t exist without the support of our community, and we wanted people to see the amazing impact of their giving. Their support truly is life-changing and makes a world of difference for these kids.” Proceeds from this fundraising event benefit Central Dakota Children's Choir and their mission to inspire tomorrow’s voices—fostering friendships, enriching lives and serving the community. Formed in 1998, Central Dakota Children’s Choir has grown from one choir of 65 students to five choirs and a pre-choir with over 200 children in grades 2 - 12 from 33 public, private, and homeschools. To date, the choirs have performed for more than 190,000 people in the tri-state area and have been invited to perform at many local, state, and regional events. The choirs are directed by Teri Fay, Dawn Hagerott, James McMahon, and Michael Seil and accompanied by Carol Huck and Beth Weiss.
