Step into history and mystery at the Chateau de Morès State Historic Site in Medora during the Chateau Lantern Tours. Explore the darker side of the Chateau's past in a thrilling evening of frights, delights, and minimal lights. The one-hour tours are offered Oct. 23 and 24 at 6:30, 7, 7:30, 8, and 8:30 p.m.
After an introduction at the Interpretive Center, walk to the Chateau for a tour through the main level and upstairs. While venturing through the Chateau, illuminated by lanterns, hear tales of apparitions, ghost lights, murder, and more. Although nothing will jump out to frighten you, you never know what will be around the next corner.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 6 to 17 and can be purchased in advance to ensure a reserved spot by calling 701.623.4355 or visiting the Chateau de Morès Interpretive Center. Lanterns will be provided. Guests should dress warmly with the weather in mind. The Chateau de Morès is a historic home with narrow stairs, uneven floors, and other accessibility concerns.

The Chateau de Morès Interpretive Center and home are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sept. 30. Beginning Oct. 1, the Chateau de Morès Interpretive Center will be open Tuesday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and closed Sunday-Monday. The Chateau de Morès home will be open by appointment.
