J. Carmichael (songwriter/mandolinist) writes ballads about love, God, and a world spinning out of control. Defiance, perhaps to a fault, echoes in his music, from the way he writes, to the instruments he plays, to what he writes about. Never content being confined within a genre, he grew up on Nashville Now and 90’s punk and indie and is influenced by the songwriting giants of many genres; just as comfortable at a fiddle festival as he is at a punk rock show or in a Nashville writer room. J has released 3 full length records and a handful of EPs with another album coming in 2025. J spent 2008-2013 recording albums and playing shows from Washington State to Texas playing as an opener for bands like Lucero, Tumbledown (Mike of MxPx), Scott Biram, and then yet to break out altcountry sensation John Moreland. After becoming a father J took several years away from performing and recording and served communities in Idaho and Washington states driving ambulances and fighting wildfires. Some souls however, are bound to roam and share stories and songs along the way. Ernest and Henning is excited for the first summer concert announcement of 2025 – Warren Zeiders will perform live on MIDCO Stage at Essentia Health Plaza at The Lights on Thursday, July 31st at 7:00pm. The opening act(s) are to be determined.

Warren Zeiders is one of the buzziest up-and-coming stars in Country music, quickly emerging as one of the genre’s newest headliners. He recently WON the CMT Award for “Breakthrough Male Video of the Year” (this was his first nomination).
