Bismarck, ND – On February Third-both the Republican and Democratic parties will hold caucuses around the state to discuss candidates for the next presidential election.
Democratic Party executive director Vern Thompson says February third will be a great opportunity for North Dakota citizens to participate in the earliest presidential caucus that the state's ever had. He says there will be 96 sites for voters to cast their preference for the democratic presidential candidate.
Thompson says the results of the February third caucus will affect how the 22 delegates vote when they go to the national Democratic Convention in July.
Ken Karls is the state Republican Party chairman. He says the republicans will be gathering on February third to show support for President Bush's packages that he introduced.
