Bishop Zipfel Says New Pope A Man of Clear Faith

Bismarck, ND – Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (rot-zing-er) of Germany has been elected the 265th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church.

78-year-old Ratzinger has taken the name of Benedict the 16th. Bishop Paul Zipfel of the Diocese of Bismarck says he met Ratzinger twice once in St. Louis, Missouri in 1994 and again last December in Rome. Zipfel says the new Pope is a man of clear faith and is NOT a reed blown in the wind.
Zipfel says those looking for someone very different from John Paul II will be very disappointed.
Zipfel says many will be surprised by the new Pope's personal gentleness and humility.
