ND Health Dept: 48 new COVID-19 cases

48 new individuals from eight North Dakota counties have been confirmed to have COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the statewide positive total to 2,625.

The positive results were from a pool of 2,378 tests for a positive rate of 2 percent.

40 of the cases were from Cass County. Two of the cases were from Grand Forks County. Barnes, Burleigh, Ransom, Stutsman, Traill and Walsh Counties each had one new case.

In all, 97,111 tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus in North Dakota. 73,301 tests have been on unique individuals.

There have been 169 total hospitalizations, while 35 individuals are currently hospitalized.

There have been 2,078 recoveries and 61 deaths. This leaves 486 active confirmed cases in North Dakota.
