State health department confirms 38 new cases of COVID-19

38 new individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the statewide positive total to 3,458.

The results are from a pool of 4,163 tests for a daily positive rate of 0.9 percent.

12 cases were detected in Cass County, and 11 cases were found in Burleigh County. Morton County had four cases, Grand Forks County had three cases and LaMoure County had two cases. Barnes, Ransom, Sioux, Traill, Walsh and Ward Counties each had one new case apiece.

A total number of 173,999 tests have been administered. 102,519 tests have been completed on unique individuals.

There are currently 23 individuals hospitalized with the novel coronavirus. There have been 225 total hospitalizations.

There have been 3,119 recoveries and 78 deaths. This leaves 261 active confirmed cases in the state.
