80 new COVID-19 cases; 2 deaths confirmed

The state health department has confirmed two more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,428.

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 80 new individuals from 23 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 98,095.

 

These results were from a pool of 4,060 tests for a daily positive rate of 2.49 percent.

 

28 of those positives were PCR tests, and 52 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

1,556,717 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 397,150 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

36 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 115 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 95,834. This leaves 844 active confirmed cases.
