ND's vaccine rollout continues for COVID-19

The state of North Dakota has administered just over 37,800 more doses of COVID-19 vaccine in the past seven days.

Last week, the state began receiving a third vaccine by Janssen (or Johnson & Johnson) in addition to the Pfizer and Moderna formulas. This vaccine requires only one dose. 6,300 doses of the Janssen vaccine were shipped to North Dakota.

According to the health department’s COVID-19 vaccine dashboard, nearly 262,000 total doses have been administered in the state. More than 157,700 North Dakotans are covered by one dose of vaccine, which amounts to 21.3 percent. Nearly 85,300 residents are covered by two doses of vaccine, which amounts to 11.6 percent.

There are currently 405 enrolled provider states approved to administer vaccine statewide.
