Essentia Health reinstates visitor restrictions

The restrictions have returned due to the rise in transmission of COVID-19.

Amid high and rising transmission of COVID-19 in North Dakota, another health system has reinstated its visitor restrictions.

Essentia Health is allowing two visitors per patient per day. A statement from Essentia also states that patients with known or suspected COVID-19 are not allowed any visitors unless they are pediatric or OB patients, or patients under end-of-life care. It also states that one visitor would be designated for patients who need that visitor for safety reasons.

Visitation hours for these patients are 24/7, while all other patients may be visited between 9am and 6pm.

Other exceptions to these rules can be found in Essentia’s complete visitor policy. That policy can be read here: https://www.essentiahealth.org/covid-19/hospital-clinic-visitor-guidelines/
