UND Professor Jack Russell Weinstein ~ "Caring Community Award"

UND professor Jack Russell Weinstein’s “Why” radio show, “Philosophical Discussions of Everyday Life,” will be featured in an upcoming issue of the Chronicle of Higher Education. Jack stops by to tell us more about this honor. The 75th episode of Why aired right here on Prairie Public, earlier this month. ~~~ One of the greatest predictors of child abuse and neglect is caregiver isolation from the community. Prevent Child Abuse North Dakota offers a “Caring Community Award” to acknowledge communities looking to address isolation and other issues, and they’re seeking nominations for the award. Winners will be announced in April, which is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Joining us is Karen Van Fossan, PCAND communications director; and Tomi Cimarosti, director of residential services with 2014 award winner, Charles Hall Youth Services.

Your support keeps Prairie Public strong and independent, serving communities across our region with programs that educate, involve, and inspire.
