We revisit an interview with Prairie Public television producer Kim Stenehjem about her documentary, Built to Last: The Legacy of the CCC in Minnesota, which details the accomplishments of the civilian conservation corps. ~~~ Nate DeMio, host of The Memory Palace podcast, shares an essay for Women’s History Month on Mary Walker, a trained surgeon, who became a prisoner of war during the Civil War.
