Scam Awareness ~ Horticulturist Ron Smith

AARP state offices in North Dakota and Minnesota, along with Better Business Bureau, are looking for a big crowd when they hold a “Scam Jam” June 7th in Fargo. They’ll be covering a variety of topics, including top scams, investment fraud, online safety and family financial exploitation. We’ll hear about some of those scams and get a preview of the event. Joining us are Tonya Hetzler, an investigator with the Attorney General’s Office Consumer Affairs Division; and Doreen Riedman, AARP North Dakota Community Outreach Director. ~~~ The poorest among us often pay more than they can afford for their power bills. Inside Energy’s Dan Boyce says the most desperate time can be the spring when power bills from the winter have piled up. ~~~ Former NDSU Extension horticulturist Ron Smith is here to answer recent lawn and garden questions.
