Friday, August 26 – Good for Nothing is a group of people collaborating to exchange ideas and help other people work more efficiently. The group recently worked with a handful of non-profits. We visit with Jeff Knight, a graphic designer. ~~~ Harvest Public Media’s Christopher Hustad shares a story of farmers turning to chickens as a form of natural pest control. ~~~ Results are in from a preliminary investigation into the fish killing disease that's caused the unprecedented closure of a long stretch of the Yellowstone River in Montana. Montana Public Radio's Eric Whitney reports. ~~~ The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced it will buy $20 million worth of cheese and give it away to food banks. The USDA is doing this, it says, to help "reduce a cheese surplus that is at a 30-year high."
