400-Year History of American Capitalism ~ Pheasant Season ~ The Memory Palace ~ Female Code Talkers

Wednesday, October 11 – If you're looking to make a little money (or a lot of money), you might do well to study the past. How about 400 years of big ideas and start-ups, for example? Bhu Srinivasan has written a new book. It's called “Americana: A 400-Year History of American Capitalism.” It's a roll through the "Next Big Thing" of the past few centuries. He recently visited with Lori Walsh of South Dakota Public Broadcasting's "In the Moment." ~~~ In this week’s Natural North Dakota essay, Chuck Lura discusses pheasants. ~~~ From The Memory Palace podcast, Nate DeMaio mourns the loss of a radio station. ~~~ We get a look at the lives of the myriad female code breakers of WWII with an excerpt from The Takeaway.
