The Trial of Lizzie Borden ~ Mark Trahant Commentary ~ We Are Still Here

Monday, March 25, 2019 – “The Trial of Lizzie Borden, a True Story” is a definitive account of one of America’s most notorious murder mysteries. Author Cara Robertson is our guest. She’s a lawyer and former Supreme Court clerk. Her book takes a deep dive into this country’s first “trial of the century.” Publisher’s Weekly calls it a “superior, page-turning true crime narrative.” ~~~  Sen. Elizabeth Warren is calling for an end to the electoral college. Mark Trahant, editor of Indian Country Today, evaluates how that would impact natives. ~~~“We Are Still Here” is a documentary about a band of the Hidatsa Indian tribe dedicated to saving its language and traditions. The 34-minute film was selected for last week’s Fargo Film Festival. We visit with director Lizbeth Chappell and two of the people appearing in the film, Benji Goodbird and Valarian Three Irons.
