Monday, March 15, 2021 - It was in early March of 2020 that North Dakota schools switched to distance learning and many businesses had to close or change how they do business. To mark the one-year anniversary of this momentous change, we share an episode of The Anthropocene Reviewed, a podcast from author John Green about the current geological age, marked by the profound impact humans have on shaping the planet and its biodiversity. This episode is called The Plague. ~~~ Professor Steven J. Pearlman says one reason for the proliferation of conspiracy theories, is a lack of critical thinking skills. He says many adults do not understand how to separate fact from fiction, leading to extremist views. His new book is titled “America’s Critical Thinking Crisis: The Failure and Promise of Education.”
