Jamestown Arts Market and Chalkfest ~ Queen Victoria's Dress in Rugby ~ Youth Summer Meals

Jamestownarts.com

Wednesday, May 26, 2021 - The Arts Center’s Downtown Arts Market in Jamestown is resuming with a much-needed celebration. Thursdays starting June 24th, the market will feature outdoor live music, artisan vendors and creative opportunities. Did you know there was such a thing as a professional chalk artist? Eight of them will be featured for the first event as they turn the sidewalks and streets into glorious canvases for CHALKFEST! We visit with Shawn McCann, chalk artist; and Mindi Schmitz, executive director of The Arts Center. ~~~ Chuck Lura shares a Natural North Dakota essay on chipmunks. ~~~ Many women have a black dress in their wardrobe, but you don’t have one like the one on display at the Prairie Village Museum in Rugby. Ashley recently stopped by the museum to visit about this special dress from executive director Jennifer Willis. ~~~ The Great Plains Food Bank is more than doubling the number of Youth Summer Meals locations this year. We visit with the director of the program, Nancy Carriveau.
