Ashley Thornberg talks to SnowKraft and Jay Ray, local snow sculptors who are building sculptures for the Fargo-Moorhead Frostival. The sculptors recently banded together and won third place in a national competition at Winterfest in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

SnowKraft — a team of sculptors — explain their sculpting process and the meaning behind their Frostival sculpture, which is modeled after the Norse entity Ægir.

The snow sculptures can be viewed at Viking Ship Park in Moorhead, Minnesota, throughout the 2022 Frostival event.
