Friday, March 19, 2021 - The North Dakota Legislature is considering making it a requirement that schools provide more education about the state’s Native peoples. The Department of Public Instruction has already done considerable work in that area, and is ready with resources should the legislation become law. Here to tell us about more is Lucy Fredericks, the department’s director of Indian and multicultural education.
