Grand Forks Police searching for missing girl

Grand Forks Police Department

Police in Grand Forks are asking for assistance from the public in locating a missing girl.

Lieutenant Jim Remer is with the Grand Forks Police Department.  He says 14 year old Alana Dow was last seen at about 10pm on Sunday evening.

Remer says she is described as 5'4, 160 lbs with reddish hair and blue eyes.  She was last seen wearing a pink Fighting Sioux sweatshirt, black yoga pants and black shoes.  She also wears glasses and has a splint on her right arm.

Remer says the GFPD has been working closely with her family, and following up with Alana's friends and acquaintances.  He says unfortunately there are no leads as to her whereabouts at this time.

Remer says the public is encouraged to submit any information or leads in a number of ways - the Grand Forks Police Department can be called at 701-787-8000.  Leads can be sent by text message at 701-740-6731, by email to investigate@grandforksgov.com, or to the Grand Forks Police Department's Facebook and Twitter pages.
