Incumbent US Senator John Hoeven has received re-election endorsements from former President Donald Trump and from the National Rifle Association.
Hoeven is being challenged by state Rep. Rick Becker (R-Bismarck).
In a statement, Trump said, "Senator John Hoeven is doing a great job for the people of North Dakota." The NRA said Hoeven is "standing strong for freedom, and defending NRA members and law-abiding gun owners in North Dakota and throughout the United States."
The state GOP convention will be held in Bismarck April 2nd. Many political observers predict that it will also lead to a challenge in the June primary.
