Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre Carries On

Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre

FMCT's Executive Director Eloise Breikjern talks with Bill Thomas about the state of their building, known as The Stage at Island Park, which is suffering from a sagging roof and other damage thanks to a broken beam. The building is currently "shored up," and they are still making plans. They are confident about rebuilding, but are trying to decide whether to just fix the damage (which would mean a new roof, new beams and new catwalks), or to use the situation to make deeper changes and updates to the building.  Insurance will pay for part of this, but Eloise says some sort of capital campaign is certainly in the works.

She also spoke of the upcoming Fargo Famous talent show, moved to the Fargo Radisson on Friday, January 10, at 7:30pm. Entrance is by a free will donation. The acts include a variety of performance, and the intermission entertainment will be last year's winner, a yo-yo-ist. They also have an upcoming musical theatre production of "Little Women" (the version that was a hit on Broadway), but have not finalized the location.
