The DSU Ag Club has been bringing the farm into town every spring for more than 30 years. This event offers a unique experience to children third grade and younger – along with teachers, parents, friends and families – about life on the farm. Thanks to the generosity of many local donors, visitors to Kids Day on the Farm enjoy a petting zoo complete with a miniature horse, a miniature donkey, goats, sheep, calves, bunnies and ducks, along with chicks, peafowl, horses, pigs and more! And that is just the animals! There are also wagon rides, trips through the soil tunnel, roping lessons, a Farm Bureau booth, and milk and cookies for a treat at the end of the tour. Appointments to have a guided tour are arranged every 15 minutes throughout the day. Each guided tour will last approximately 60-75 minutes, and can accommodate up to 50 children.
