‘Under Western Stars’ screening at the Pembina State Museum

‘Under Western Stars’ screening at the Pembina State Museum

The public is invited to attend the screening of the “Monthly Movie Matinee” on Saturday, April 26. This month we are showing “Under Western Stars,” a classic Western from 1938 starring Roy Rogers. The free screenings will begin at 12:30, 2, and 3:30 p.m. Pop and candy will be available for sale in the Museum Store.

“Under Western Stars” marks Roy Rogers’ starring debut as a singing cowboy who runs for Congress to fight for struggling ranchers suffering from a water shortage during the Dust Bowl. Facing corrupt politicians and greedy water barons, he uses music and courage to champion justice.

The Pembina State Museum, located at 805 Highway 59, Pembina, is managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Admission to the museum and observation tower is $10. The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. For more information, contact Outreach Coordinator Brian Hardy, shspembina@nd.gov or 701.825.6840.
