Bobcat Company Expands in Bismarck

Bismarck, ND – The Bobcat Company is building a nine-point-five-million-dollar manufacturing support center in Bismarck.

C-E-O Mike Ryan says the 100-thousand-square-foot facility will be part of the new Northern Plains Commerce Center. He says in order to grow the Bobcat Company without extending the main plant in Bismarck a new facility will be built to do assembly work and move inventory away from the main plant. And Ryan says the rail system at the N-P-C-C can bring in components from Asia, Europe, or North America, which costs less per pound of transport than by bringing components in by truck.

Bobcat is North Dakota's largest manufacturing company with facilities in Gwinner, Bismarck, and West Fargo. Bobcat employs over 26-hundred workers.

Ryan says construction on the new facility will begin this spring. He says the addition will bring over 100 jobs to Bismarck.
