Missing Grand Forks girl found

Authorities in Grand Forks have located a young girl after asking help from the public to find her.

Grand Forks Police Lieutenant Jim Remer says 14-year-old Alana Dow was found last night at an address in East Grand Forks at around 6pm.  He says she was unharmed.  Remer says at this time, police in Grand Forks are conducting an investigation into what led to her disappearance.

"The investigation into this whole situation and how she ended up in East Grand Forks, and what other people might be involved - that's still an active and ongoing investigation and probably will be for a while," says Remer.  "There's still a lot of forensic evidence that we're going through, so we'll do that and continue with those investigations."

Dow was last seen on Sunday evening at 10pm and reported missing on Monday morning.  Remer says the Grand Forks Police Department is grateful to the public in providing tips as to her whereabouts.  He says the ongoing investigation will determine if charges will be filed in the case.
