5 deaths confirmed; 146 new COVID-19 cases found

The state health department has confirmed five more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,491.

 

The patients were all men; one in his 80s from Burleigh County, one in his 50s and another in his 90s from Morton County; one in his 60s from Sargent County; and one in his 50s from Sioux County.

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 146 new individuals from 27 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 107,298.

 

These results were from a pool of 5,065 tests for a daily positive rate of 4.14 percent.

 

71 of those positives were PCR tests, and 75 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

 

1,921,896 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 429,811 unique individuals have been tested.

 

34 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 112 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 104,710. This leaves 1,097 active confirmed cases.
