D. Webster

The facility will be built with advanced technology and equipment needed to support the mission of the 119th Wing of the North Dakota Air National Guard.

Ground has been broken on a new Operations Center for the 119th Wing of the North Dakota Air National Guard.

$17.5 million in federal dollars has been secured for the operations center, which will house the Guard’s Remotely Piloted Aircraft program.

Senator John Hoeven says the new operations center will ensure no interruptions to the 119th’s mission.

"You perform missions worldwide, every day. You are in the fight every day. And you have been since we started this mission, this unmanned mission. Our armed services and operators depend on you around the globe. You're their eyes, you're their ears, you're the tip of the spear. And we can't have an interruption in that service."

The facility is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
