"Dollars for Scholars" accepting applications

North Dakota Dollars for Scholars is now accepting applications from high school seniors and current college students.

"The scholarships are anywhere from $613 to $2500," said Dollars for Scholars state director Becca Larsen.

Larsen said interested students need to go to the "Dollars for Scholars" website and complete a profile.

"After completing the profile, they'll search for scholarships, and they will be matched with both the North Dakota program and their local chapters as well," Larsen said. "Then they will get matched to scholarships they qualify for."

Larsen said they have to apply for those scholarships, which be awarded in early May.

Last year, over $100,000 in scholarships were issued – and Larsen said she's hoping to do the same this year.

The program is funded through donations.
