The North Dakota Lottery remains popular.
Lottery sales and marketing manager Ryan Koppy said unaudited figures show a $2.7 million increase in Lottery sales in fiscal 2021, compared with 2020.
Koppy said Powerball is the big money maker – but the other games – including Mega Millions and Two By Two – are also doing well.
"Sales go along with how Powerball goes," Koppy said. "As the jackpot grows bigger, players will jump in and grab one of each games. When Powerball and Mega-Millions sales increase, you will see sales across all the games go with that."
One North Dakota Powerball player won $100,000 this week. Koppy said the player matched four white numbers and the Powerball, and had purchased the "Power Play" option.
The ticket was purchased at the Horizon Market in Bismarck.
