Health department confirms 588 COVID-19 cases, 1 death

North Dakota's death toll is 2,029.

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,029.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 588 individuals from 40 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 182,538.

These results were from a pool of 3,744 tests for a daily positive rate of 16.79 percent.

402 of those positives were PCR tests, and 186 were antigen tests.

3,137,779 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 571,969 unique individuals have been tested.

117 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 1,532 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 176,517. This leaves 3,992 active confirmed cases.
