Veterans' Stories and Project Unpack ~ Dr. Donald Warne

An update on Project Unpack activities from artist Josh Zeis and NDSU faculty member Michael Strand.  Those activities include an arts workshop that will use objects from military service to create family heirlooms in the form of ceramic cups; there’s an exhibition opportunity for veterans to display objects and tell the stories behind them; Josh has an interesting performance piece involving a frozen rucksack; and we’ll also hear about a discussion and writing workshop hosted by Alison Graham-Bertolini. ~~~ A Plains Folk essay from Tom Isern: “Welcome to Leith.” ~~~ In another segment of Chasing the Dream, Poverty and Opportunity in America, Ashley Thornberg and Bill Thomas visit with Dr. Donald Warne, an Oglala Lakota who comes from a long line of traditional healers.
